roles as system
leaders in complex educational environments.
THE LEADERSHIP PRACTICUM:
(Concurrent)
The practicum, which runs concurrently with the Modules,
is a critical
element of the program. It is designed to provide on-site
training
relevant to the position of a Supervisory Officer. Practicum
experiences are tailored to individual candidates and geared
towards their personal and professional goals. The design
of the Practicum allows for the opportunity to develop new
skills and a broadened perspective. Each candidate will
be guided by a mentor who is a practicing Supervisory Officer.
Evaluation of the Practicum includes an oral and written
presentation with feedback from a panel of Supervisory Officers.
EVALUATION OF THE PROGRAM:
Candidates will be requested to prepare reports, make presentations,
respond to cases studies, and write papers and examinations
to demonstrate
their level of understanding and growth. Candidates must
maintain a
professional Portfolio throughout the program. Upon successful
completion
of the four modules, candidates will participate in an exit
interview,
part of which is presentation of their portfolio and their
Practicum.
