Projects Committee
(Formerly the Staff Development Coordinating Committee)

Who

* As a member of the Eastern Ontario Staff Development Network, each member
board/faculty will have a minimum of one and a maximum of three representatives
to the Projects Committee (SDCC).
* Appointed representatives are expected to attend on a consistent basis
* Boards sending more than 1 representative should consider both a system and a
school focus, eg.a mix of principals, vice-principals, consultants, coordinators, and
special assignment teachers
* Each representative will serve on at least one working committee

Note: Project Coordinators may be contracted on a needs basis.
Project Coordinators will attend meetings of the Committee.


When

* meets three times a year (fall, winter & spring) for a full day


Roles and Responsibilites

The Projects Committee in consultation with the Board of Directors works to:
* Identify professional development needs and opportunities for Network members
* develop comprehensive long-range plans for delivering professional development
* create, serve on, and monitor working committees
* operationalize budget amounts for events/initiatives
* provide for communication of EOSDN and member professional development activities
* prepare reports to the Board of Directors
