Our operational guidelines for this network are as follows:

1. Maintains a current directory of recommended resource people; 
   
   
2. Expects receiving boards to pay incidental costs for travel, accommodation, supplies and food for resource people from other boards. No honoraria should be expected to be paid to members of sponsors within the Network;
   
   
3. Offers high priority programs at different locations across the region;
   
   
4. Is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a voting representative from each sponsoring organization to be the official decision-making body of the Network with a Chair and Vice Chair to be elected annually by The Board;
   
   
5. Will be managed by an Executive Committee consisting of Chair, Vice-Chair and past Chair of the Board of Directors, Chairs of the Projects Committee, the Qualifications and Creditation Committee and Partnerships Committee, and the Executive Director;
   
   
6. Organizes and supports a flexible structure of enabling committees with representation from each of the sponsoring organizations;
   
   
7. Engages staff as needed to coordinate and implement the Network activities;
   
   
8. Accounts annually for the efficient use of financial resources;
   
   
9. Surveys the members of the sponsoring organizations regularly to determine their needs;
   
   
10. Expects sponsoring organizations to share information about their local programs and events and invite the members of the Network to attend these on a cost recovery basis;
    
    
11. Develops and Maintains a website to facilitate communications between sponsors;
    
    
12. Cooperates with all agencies that certify and train school and system leaders in the Province;
    
    
13. Will prepare an annual 'Network in Review';
    
    
14. Provides financial support for the further development of the Network and its programs;
    
    
15. Promotes the sharing of current research and best practice;
    
    
16. Recognizes outstanding contributions within the Network;
    
    
17. Recognizes and Acts upon opportunities to provide program leadership.
